Biography
I'm Jackson Sarver. Dancer. Photographer. I capture moments in everyday life.
That's me, Jackson Prescott Sarver, I've been a dancer with BalletMet since 2004. Recently, I just became an LLC! It's now Sarver Digital, LLC. My knowledge of dance and movement influences my work with other dancers, capturing their strength, their fluidity of motion and their artistry. Two of my photos have been used in publicity for BalletMet's 2010-11 season. Also, my work was featured in the Sept/Oct 2011 issue of COLUMBUS CITY SCENE magazine. Not limited to dance photography, I try to bring a sensitive aesthetic to my work creating both composed portraits and spontaneous "life as it happens" shots. I love using my camera to capture moments in everyday life. My subjects have included my wife, Katie Shirley Sarver, my family and friends, landscapes, and my peers at BalletMet.
I focus on available light photography. I love using the scenery around the city as my backdrop. From the Short North to Downtown, and the neighborhoods surrounding, they all provide a unique and interesting background. I love capturing reality. I mean, I like to capture you in your element, being yourself, whatever that may be.
